Signs

Anyone else see this? I personally thought it was really cool - evem better than 6th Sense IMHO.

One of my favorite scenes was the foreshadowing with the house on fire - it really reminded me of the scene in Fellowship where Sauron hints at the Balrog. I really liked how the scene in the book in Signs never actually happened, though!

The only thing I didn't like about the movie really was Shyamalan's character. I couldn't see him as anything other than the director.

But anyway, what did everyone else think about it?

I really liked it! It was well done and well directed, made my spine tingle.... and also had a lot a emotion and good acting. :thumbs:

Shymalan had a part in the film??? Who? I guess it can't bother me as I didn't even notice!

(Note: The prescence of Joaquin Phoenix never hurts a movie!)

Yeah, I think Shymalan was the dude who killed Mel Gibson's wife (gah... can't remember any names!)

Oh! I thought he was quite good, but I guess I wasn't paying attention specifically. He's quite young, though, isn't he?

I thought the movie was very good. It had suspence but wasn't too scary. It was very good.

I also didn't care for M.Night's cameo all that much. The cameo's he made in The Sixth Sense & Unbreakable were better, since he didn't have that much screen time. A few minutes at least.

In Signs, he was in it too much, so it kind of broke a director/actor barrier.

His appearence in the film would've been better if he were in it for only a few minutes.

I personally loved it! The alien dudes were reeeally scary. All the pplz were screaming n shtuf. The bad part was that there were all these little kids there that kept crying and it was so annoying! But it was a great movie!!

thought it was v.v good and the ppl were screaming when the hand came onto Morgan. yuk! pfbbt I loved the bit when they were all sitting there wearing the tin foil hats.lol

I was a bit disapointed with its end. But it's worth watching.

Curious as to what y'all thought of the strict, bare-bones ending to signs. was it worth the effort or did it just end up hurting the movie and all that came before it?

I think it was enough to get the point across. Anything more involved probably would have seemed much too overblown.

Hmmmmm ill have to see this at some stage....hehehe kind of got put off the movies a bit, and missed it in the local theatres...but it sounds very good

would highly recommend to all of u, wonderful juxtaposition of both the War of the Worlds and a simple tale of a man lost.

and yeah, i think u're right Orkybash...the ending was just right, perfectly underplayed where too much would've ruined it.
