Hello there Domlegolas, I've merged your post from the sites updates thread with the one you made to start this thread. I wasn't quite sure what you wanted from this thread...an instant answer to what every single artist in the Gallery work is, isn't something I can do easily it would take quite some time working out all of them in one go.
However, if it's a discussion of what some of the painting might be, I'm prepared to do that hehe. Not all the artists up in the gallery are members on this site so it is not easy to simply ask them.

How about this: you go and choose an artist or a picture that you are unsure what material it is done by or they have used and either link it to this thread or image post it here, (see the directions in the Image posting thread), once it is here we can discuss it then choose a new one and so on.

To make it more intresting we could discuss the actual picture itself at the same time.

How about it?

There is some beautiful stuff there to be sure! Thank you for the link :)
Was there a specific painting there (or in the gallery) that you were wondering about?
Heres a bit of info in case it helps:
*Most black/white drawings are done in either pencil/graphite/ink/charcoals or a mix
*the lighter wash color paintings are most likely watercolor, or watercolor pencils
*Oils/acrylics tend to be thicker & darker (more opague) looking than the watercolors
*Pastels have a smudgy look to them, and tend to be vivid

Does that help at all? I know what you mean though, sometimes it is not easy to tell what medium an artist used (often they use a mixed medium anyway)

Sure, thanks for info.. because I am not used with computer to see artworks :)
If I am not sure, then I would take contact with artist, it is simple, winks.
I should have put link in another thread, anyway.... I am still learning this webpage :p

Thats a good point, the paintings do show up differently on a computer screen than they would in real life
& Dont worry aboutputting the link in here, it gives a better idea as to the type of artworks you were refering too ;) although I might stick it in the fantasy art links sticky as well, cause its a good site! :)

Hmm...contacting the artist? I dont know how easy that would be. I guess it would all depend on the artist. If there was a spefic painting you wanted to know about, feel more than free to post the link & Ill take a look at it and try & decifer the medium for you
