Yep, somebody has to root for the Uruk-hia! What's wrong with Lurtz? He's tall - taller than Leggy, Aragorn and Borimir. Butt of granite? Sorry, didn't bother to check, but I'd be willing to bet he's got one too. After all he ran all the way from Isengard to Amen Hen....

OK, OK, so maybe he doesn't have pointy ears, and isn't all that refined. But who would you rather sick on your enemies? A pointy eared tart, or Lurtz! :p

Lurtz wasn't that bad but i think that he was not that well designed. He looked rather simple.
I liked him till the colse up scene in which he was busy with eliminating Boromir. Then he was showed from the side bending down to stick another one of those black arrows and finish Boromir. Then i changed my mind and even started to hate him....i did not like the way he looked. Not that he was ugly, he was somehow "stupid" to me. Not my idea of a Fighting Uruk. And he did not seem much of a warrior in the movie also.
i don't know what's teasing me that much in him now. There's just something which i don't like after seeing that scene.

Hopefully there will be more of the fight between Lurtz and Aragorn in the Director's Cut DVD. From an interview I read, the duel between the two was actually 10 minutes long, and all shot, with the intention of editing down to the 'best bits' for the movie.

Should be interesting to see what they do with Ugluk and Grishnakh in TTT....

I'm really excited bout cing more of those kind of inter-race bashing...i loved those two characters in the book. It really showed just how weak a 'union' between two dark forces can be..while the felowship sums up just how bonded different 'good' races can be!:angry:
