In regards to the date....well...

We don't want to conflict with the Fellowship Gathering in August, and folks usually do the "family thing" for July 4th, so I'm thinking maybe like the thrid or last weekend in July? That gives us a couple of months to plan and prepare. :grin:

Now...there may be a hitch in the giddy-up as we are currently shopping for a contractor so that we can add onto the house. We're converting the garage to a 2-car and we'd like to enclose the patio whilst we're at it. I'm not sure how soon this work can get started and also how long it will take, but if it works out, it would be really kewl to have all of you over for a bit of a BBQ and yessss of course we must :lurk:Extended Fest! lol

If it looks like the construction will still be going on in July, then we can either plan for August or look at a different venue. There's always ummmm......the beach, various city parks (so can still BBQ hehe), Disneyland, Universal, etc. but yea....let's shoot for the house firstly as it's much less costly. :p

I'm still very interested in attending. Last year's gathering was a lot of fun, and this year's will be no exception. I'm usually open for almost any day of the week, except right now, Saturday works best for me. I have a four day a week summer class until July 28th, and will be going up to northern California for a week afterwards. Anytime after that should be okay for me. If our gathering takes place before the 28th of July, I can always re-arrange my schedule. In either case, I look forward to seeing my fellow WarRingers and will bring snack foods for all. :)

Well...Illu is having a bugger of a time just getting a contractor to come out and give me bids on the work! pfbbt

We're actually enlarging the house a bit with an addition so there's a good chance that this will be fully underway throughout July and August.

Ummm....we could try a theme park, or a beach, or park type gathering, mission, quest....thing sometime in August. :p

Okays.....I've got an update for ya! :p

It looks like our scheduled construction will not be scheduled until the Sept./Oct. time frame.......sooooooooooooooooo..............it's on! lol

That is.....if you guys are still interested of course and if you think that the mid/late August time frame will give you enough time to plan. hehe

I'm thinking that either Saturday August 20 or 27 would work for us. We've still got the flags, etc from last year and it's not like I really need an excuse to fire up the BBQ.:blush: But....we have aquired a couple of bows and arrows since last time so we can do fun stuff like get a hay bale and do some shooting as long as you guys promise not to shoot the host! :o

Okay...well...there it is...lemme know! Of course...if you'd rather do the beach or summat....well..that's okay too....we just need to plan this...so.........speak quickly! ;)

Well, when Illu and I spoke about it. He mentioned close to the end of August. But the decision shouldn't be ours alone. Anyone who's interested in coming should give us ideas. Yes, Illu is hosting, but he can't make all the decisions alone. I personally am good with anytime, so just give us suggestions.;)

We're gonna try and get a few hay bales so that we can get out back and shoot some arrows. Although....if we cannot protect the arrows from going over the fence, we may have us a little trek down to the park(about a mile away) as they have a full on arcery range. :p But any and all ideas are most welcome!

Sooooooooo.......whilst we don't have a lot of room...we could fairly easily accomodate you two in the living room. We have a roll-away for one and a couch for the other. If you'd like to book your travel accordingly...well...that will be just fine. You both are welcome. :p

Yeeeeeeeaaaa...I got it..hehe And I'll be replying to it here in just a tic.

It's been a very exausting couple of days! :thud: We drove alllll the way to Phoenix Arizona yesterday to pick up our new puppy and just turned around and drove back with him to the tune of about 680 miles in 15 hours with many stops of course. We left at 2pm yesterday and pulled into the driveway at 05:00 this morning! :o

Needless to say...I'm a little bit slow atm. :p

Yea...yea...Sam is a very common name, but we looked at his face and thought of loyalty, friendship, etc. and well....that's Sir Samwise. His pedigree name is Silver Hill Celebril (Celebril = Silver Brilliance inn Elvish) hehe

My dear Adun, Randi, Lint, and Sindarin....

I regrettably must announce that this weekend's festivities have been cancelled. :(

We've had a couple of RL things come up and unfortunately we won't be in any shape to have company this weekend. Both Lady A. and I deeply regret the last minute cancellation, but it's simply unavoidable. :-/

It's actually a shame that we hadn't scheduled this for the September time frame as Randi has suggested as we'd more than likely be in better shape then and would be happy to have ya.

From what I see...we have basically three options:

To those of you that have made extended travel arrangements. Please PM me with the amount that you spent on the tickets and we will reimburse you for the moneys spent.
You guys could keep your tickets and still have a So. Cal meet somewhere close like at Disneyland,. Lady Arien and I could realistically meet up with you for a brief time (maybe lunch on Saturday or summat) over at Downtown Disney just to meet and say hello. You ladies could maybe get/share a hotel room close by there which would be an easy cab ride for both the bus and train station.
Or we can try to reschedule this whole shebang for next month towards the latter part of September. Although, it would still probably require a hotel stay for the travellers.


I know that travel tickets are usually non-refundable, hence option #1 so please don't worry about it. If it's simpler just to cancel and try again this coming spring, just let me know and I'll take care of the ticket costs....no worries.

Again I'd like to apologise for such short notice. Some things just cannot be helped and this matter is going to be taking up quite a bit of our time over the next couple of weeks. Please don't fret as there's been no "accident" or anything of the sort. Something has come up and it's going to take all of mine and milady's time and efforts to attend.
