Yeah, there's about a billion threads here. And I don't have anything interesting to say.

I love LOTR... who here doesn't?

My own quest is to find a transcript of the Elvish used in the FotR... you know, "Frodo! I'm Arwen, I've come to help you. Hear my voice, come back to the light." &c.

I looked on the net... no luck.
In the movie books... no luck.
In Tolkein's books... no luck.

Any ideas?

The point, you see, is to learn to say the Elvish (it sounds so cool!) but it's too hard without written words.

Hello Tar-Ancalime!

I'm sorry I can't help you out with your Elvish questions, perhaps you could try the Language board. :) If not, there are many helpful and intelligent people around here, and I know there are a few language experts, I'm sure they'll be around to help soon.

Glad to have you around and that you like our site. We will shortly be posting some links for Elvish language help/ There are some very good sites out there where you can get Elvish fonts and translation programs. We just have to put it all together first!
Hope to see you post often on the boards:thumbs:

Hello

About the languages thing, I found a book at the library that had cool LOTR stuff like that in it. Also, if you set up your FOTR dvd to have subtitles, won't you be able to read what they're saying in Elvish? I dont' know, you might try that...

I tires it thank you for the suggestion. actually I got them from a person in the languages forum. very nice.

the subtitles were only what they are in the regular movie (you know... stay with the hobbits. ill send horses for you.)

thank you anyway for the suggestion.
