Lotr Special Posters

I didnt know what thread to put this in... please help!

I have just been given my "college fund" from my father. it consists of 3 (5? foot by 1.5? foot) double sided, straight from the printer lotr posters. they've never been exposed to sunlight, they come with their hanging hardware, each piece has two posters of different characters and the lotr logo. Apparently only a couple thousand were made and most went to europe. my father works for a printing company in the hamilton area. He says they chould be worth alot to serious LOTR collectors and says I'm to sell them, like on ebay or something. However, there are NO posters like this on ebay, and i don't know what i should start the bidding at. any ideas?

Well I have no clue as to current value for such stuff as I'm no collector.... but, you might try taking them into a shop that deals in that sort of stuff. Market value would probably be roughly twice as much as they'd offer you assuming they know what they're dealing with. As to what you start the bidding on ebay at.... well it can be a funny thing at times. I've seen good stuff being started at .99 cents and going into the hundreds and stuff started almost at real value and not selling at all. You could just hold onto them for a while longer as I'm sure with time the value will only increase. The best thing to do is get advice from a serious collector or seller who regularly deals with this sort of material.
