i think she's GORGEOUS...and i'm a girl...i like her a LOT better than Liv Tyler. i THINK she can act...pretty sure i've seen her in SOMETHING...but yeah. i like Eowyn better than Arwen anyways...i don't know. she's so...tragic or something (and YES i know Arwen is too...blah blah blah dying and whatever like Luthien)...but i like her. and Faramir and Eowyn are my favourite couple who actually get together...and probably at all. so yes.

i think she can act. (summing up...)

yeah ive seen her in several small parts in various things....she should be excellent, certainly looks wonderful...now all i have to worry about is whether or not they give Xenarwen a fight scene...please god noooooo

Yup i agree. He has sooo much more in common with Eowyn (even without the whole sharing the same race thing ;) ) I mean, they both like to get out there and see the world. Arwen prefers to lounge aroung Rivendell making sure she doesn't get any freckles! pfbbt

Of course Mirando Otto can act! She's Australian! We're taking over the movie world, aren't we?

She's done many films and some stage work too - Her most famous role in a movie (before TTT) is the lead in Doing Time for Patsy Cline, of which I haven't seen yet. But I will soon.

I'm yet another Movie-Arwen Shunner.... *shudder* But alas, she sounds good speaking Elvish. But Viggo sounds better.

...I think Miranda Otto is splendid for Eowyn! she definitely seems to have the right acting chops for Eowyn's role, which frankly, is such a brave, fragile, kickass character. I don't really dislike Liv Tyler, but *sigh* it was IMHO, unforgivable for Arwen to step into Glorfindel's boots. So that's what spolit Liv for me...:rolleyes:

I think Cate was fine for the role of Galadriel. Except for the part where she is doing her test to resist the One ring. That part was wierd...lol Even though it happens...I think it was...wierd. And she looked so funny...almost made of clay.lol

I did like her, only I think she looked a bit weird in Lothlorien, and as you say, the part when she tries to resist the one ring. She did turn green, and for me, unatural.

has anyone seen miranda otto in war of the worlds? i know she's pregnant and all, but, as tom cruise says 'it's a good look' for her, and i think she looks amazing in it, those locks of hers are wonderful and she has this natural glow about her...stunning really...
