Ancanar - an introduction
I'm going to present this in a question and answer format. Hopefully this will get you started on your journey into the world of Ancanar. If you've got a decent speed internet connection you may wish to watch the development trailer first, found here (http://ancanar.com/trailer/).
What is Ancanar? - Ancanar is the title of a feature film set in a fantasy world.
Who is Ancanar? - Ancanar is a man who lives in the Rammoth Valley. The plot of the film revolves around his journey to find the elves' hidden city, gain the secret of immortality to attempt to save the life of his aging father and potentially his people.
Does the film have Elves? - Yes the film has elves. ;) But no pointy ears.
Why does this sound strangely like Tolkien? - Because the directors/writers are Tolkien fans who used his work for inspiration.
Is this a Tolkien rip-off? - No, it does not take place in Middle-earth, or use Middle-earth's history.
When will I be able to see the film? - When its done filming. ;) We don't have a release date, but they are reshooting much of the script with a bigger budget.
Will it come to the big theaters? - We don't know, but hopefully.
Sounds cool, can I get more info anywhere? - Yup, the official Ancanar website http://www.ancanar.com has all you need. In the library you will find the following volumes.
The Book of Rammoth - this is a history of the Rammoth Valley.
The Book of Aglanar - this is a volume covering much of the linguistics of the story.
The Book of Governance - covers law and governmental structure in the Rammoth Valley.
The Book of Passing Years - the structure of the Rammoth calendar.
The Book of Rammoth Geography - a basic description of the lands in the Rammoth Valley.
This along with the Rammoth map (http://www.ancanar.com/library/rammoth_map.html) should get you started to understanding Ancanar. If you've got questions search the threads in this board devoted to Ancanar, or post in one of threads, or if no current threads or applicable to your query then start a new thread!
If you need outside resources besides the official website then these links may help.

http://groups-beta.google.com/group/ancanar- - another web group.
