Well from the new Weta model like those snaps of Saaruman impaled ona big wheel maybe part of the film.
You can see the wheel at the base of the tower. Though who is too say they did not do a few different endings for him. However, if it is, then looks like its bye bye to old Sharky in The Two Towers................You can see it here (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=Fatty&page=http://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=lotre^item=9701R#)

Too bad. Saruman's demise in ROTK is better, and should be done that way, faithful to the trilogy. Not this new way.

I agree.... but hmmmm that is interesting... the wheel is on the orthanc figure! A tad funny in a way... lol

Yes...but since there won't be a Scouring...*clamps hand over mouth* ok, not opening that wound again! Bad Ashley...
Wizard-kabob is extremely cheesy. The idea of it is, but I'm sure it'll be spectacular.

Spectacular, maybe. Perhaps if P.J. directs the scene properly - and I'm sure he will. Yet Saruman's death in ROTK, is much better.
In either case, I'll probably be purchasing that tower for my LOTR collection. :)

heh heh I've only got two LOTR merchandise things: a poster and a Collector's Doll of Frodo.

Interesting! ;)
I think we should accept more of PJ's ideal version of LOTR, since he's the one who's making it!! :p :whoohoo:

I agree. His death in ROTK is far superior as I think it's quite original unlike an impaling which has been done hundreds of times before

I think its a fake rumour, I mean when you think about it, P.J. wouldn't let something as importnat as this leak out and if it did, he'd sue the asses of every site that ever hosted the pic.
also, seeing as that shot is a production shot, the spike would be added later using cg, not an (obviously) flat cardboard cut out, and if they did, it would be blue.
I think they could work Sarumans original death into RotK without the scouring, I mean, the hobbits do meet Saruman and Grima on the road a bit before they reach Bree.

True. I hope he does do it like that and not the wheel death and hopefully it is only a fake.

Yes, I like the books version of him dying a lot better. But MR. PJ will most likely do a good job.
ps Where did you get the frodo collectors doll, and where any others?

I don't think it's a fake as I've seen it a few times on LOTR sites. I think it's pretty cool but kinda strange. :)

I think the original way of Saruman's death is very important. Not only to Saruman's character, but the hobbits! Like when he tries to stab Frodo, but his mail shirt prevents him from even a scratch, it proves that Frodo has grown, and that Saruman is now weak.
Well... all we can do is wait..... *waits*....:snooze:

Arwen E.P, I don't know where my parents got the Collector's Doll. All I know is that it was one of the last few at some store.

hmm.. why would they change it? I think its a fake rumor because I don't think P.J would risk changing the story that much! I hope he won't anyway!

Well, a picture can be explained in many ways. So don't jump to any conclusions before the movie comes out!

I also think it's fake because P.J. wouldn't do the book, the character, the fans and himself such an injustness by killing Saruman that way.

Yeah, I also think that he will probably be killed on Frodo's way home...before the scouring happened.
