DISCOVERY

Discovery is a burden,
A virus.
It attaches itself to a host,
Robbing it of solid ground
And scaring up a limbo.
Riddled with disbelief and too many choices
It will spread the virus to those who will not understand,
And they will rage against that knowledge.
It changes too much
The steady momentum will be brought to a halt
They will abandon the host
To feel the strength behind broken windows
The cost of any three irrevocable words
And the burden of discovery

JUDGMENT

It was almost wrong
Betraying what was never the truth in the first place
Beckoning her off her cross seems to be a crime in it’s self.
She always looked so righteous while nailed to her past
Preaching her self-loathing to anyone who cared to listen
But now that I see her face to face
I can see that the wounds were self-inflicted.
Stones trail off my willing lips
It’s hard to decide which one to throw first
But each will carry the weight of my burden
Each will take its toll

SWEET REVELATION

Under a plague of white I see your face in complete indifference
Rumors are stained with beautiful tears
Rivers of a silent regret
Blinded to all my faults all I can hear is the voice of a rapist
Cold and desperate
His words intangible to my useless ears
They hear everything and register nothing important
Saving me from a tranquil dilemma
And like a house of cards I will fall when betrayed
Chocking on the ashes of a runaway
Leaving nothing but valentines to pay for my funeral
