View Full Version : Ancanar props and costuming

The ancanar site has some new props in the library now.

We can use this thread to comment on all other props and costumes in the film. I'm personally liking the sword designs quite a bit. I'm not crazy about the helms though.... :-/ I do like the way the costumes are done with an "old" look but with some more cultured things like vests.

Yea, I think that the armour is being done very well but the helms with the visors
made to look like faces just do not excite me. I think it would look pretty weard to see some wear one of those things.

Completely agreed. I'm not really a fan of the helm designs, they look to "loose" to me and SCAish.

I actually don't like the swords at all. I think they look pretty ugly to be honest.

Well tastes wil vary, I think most people don't identify with them that well because they don't conform to the medieval pattern that say LotR morphed off of. I personally love 'em, and technically they're fabulous.

Yes, I prefer the LOTR style weaponry and swords, they were absolutely exquisite.
