How/Why did you join these forums?

Just wondering the origin of my fellow war-ringers.

I happened to stumble onto this site from a link from another lotr site I think (to be honest I can't remember:cool: )
I registered mainly because I love the book and the film but also because these forums seemed so much more organised than others I'd seen :thumbs:

.. to see that you all like the place and that your arriving here was by many diverse paths!!
We set up the site just to express our enjoyment over many years with Tolkien and his books.
I think that we have learned from past problems with other sites with which we have been involved .. and hope to bring a better, more fun place to come to and spend time.
We are only as good as our members though, so anything that you think could be done better or would like to see here.. talk to one of us and we will see what we can do!!:thumbs: :cool:

as you might all have guessed, there are several of us who know each other from elsewhere....and who all want to make this site as good as it can be....
Glad to see that others love it here as much as we do....makes ya all warm an fuzzy dont it? lol and its great to see how you all get involved...thats the mark of a good site:cool:

I was a member of another Tolkien website/forum where the people behind this website were also members. So I knew of this site from the start and was just waiting for it to get done so that I could join. :)

I like the way you listen to what people have to say, and your sense of humour! :) That's what was missing at a lot of other sites I've been a member of. A lot of people have mentioned this before, but I can't agree more, this site is like an extra, Tolkien-Internet-family. I love going here every day (or whenever I have time) to meet all these wonderful people in the forums, and to check the latest news etc. It was a great site to begin with, and it just gets better. :)

I could go on.. but I won't. Anyway.. thanks for making this site what it is! notworthy

I found the site when I was looking for trailers of TTT. I was simply astounded by the great variety and abundance of pictures and downloads! I didn't know about the forums for some time, and mostly visited the site for news. Then I found the forum, and without a moment of hesitation registered! And now I am here. Yay! :grin:

Plunged into the language- forums, and went from there. This really is a great place, great people, very diverse, funny stuff, serious disgussions, discovering the geek in me...I love it!:grin:

I found the main page from a link on TORN. After looking around at the picture archives and a few others I stepped into the Community, found some interesting discussions on the books, and decided that I would register for a time and see how the people were. Needless to say everyone has been great.

I was just typing random LOTR web addresses into the url bar and so that is how I found this forum. I have been trying to get my friends to join too! Eruanne, Ceri_Bloom, I luv Frodo and Pie! But I think only the first two are active. This is the LOTR site I spend most time on because it is the best! But you knew thst already. :)

oh i know! the one i play RPG's on... i don't even dare set foot in the actual forums... they can be very, very nasty... like this kid asked a question about how long it would take for him to get something and these people just tore him apart! and they are all about being mature and what not... which i am definatly not into lol
