Ok, so it seems that I have a responsibility to inform people about what 'slah' fan fics are...well children, they're homosexual pairings, written about by certain individuals and read by other individuals. I'm surprised that some of you haven't come across these yet, but i spose if u dnt go lookin for that kind of thing you wount often find it. If this intregues you, go to ******* where you'll find many interesting pairings! Hee hee!

Hi Pil, just a word of warning War of the Ring is a family orientated website. We will have users from many age ranges from 10 to 90, so we have to be careful what we talk about.

I am not referring to the homesexual nature of these stories, but rather their sexual explicit nature. References to rape ( whether in jest or not) etc are not really suitable for children and many parents might be somewhat disturbed by their children coming across something like this.

As I say I don't have a problem with you discussing homesexual subjects or issues. However, anything of a sexually explicit nature is to be avoided, whether hetrosexual or homesexual.

I hope you understand. Please PM me if you have a question or think I am being a bit strict.

Slash fics...serve no real purpose apart from titillation. I'd rather keep the impression of the characters, especially Tolkien's characters, "pure" in my own head.:elfqueen:

You'd be surprised at how young people are who already watch those X rated films... my little cousin is 9 and she's seen as Many dirty, horror, bloody movies as ... well i dont really know... But ya know what! lets get off this subject lol

Well the poll's closed, but I mostly go to PG-13, especially with LoTR slash. The fact of the matter is this: I don't want to read someone else's porn fantasies (the NC-17 fic), and the R fic, I've found, is usually just blatant violence against the characters, something I don't enjoy. G fic is usually too googly and soft, if you catch my meaning. I get more pleasure from eating a marshmellow. And that's that.

I'd be more interested in what couples people prefer reading about when they read the slash fic, because some of the couples people hook up together just plain disgust me sometimes! I like Sam/Frodo fic mostly, while the thought of Aragorn and Frodo makes me nauseous. What's everyone else's opinion?
