LT, I'm not really sure how to explain hotlinking. But it's basically when you use a pic from someones site without saving it to your computer, and then uploading it to your own server. You use their URL, and take up their bandwidth. Most places don't mind, or else they disable the hotlinking. But I can't, so if anyone does it, I loose bandwidth.

LT - Basically hotlinking off of someone's server causes the server to crash as it can't handle all the additional hits from people viewing a given picture. Think of it this way... you have a room with a picture inside and you tell some of your friends to come see it. Cool... no prob. But then they all tell their friends and instead of sending them to you for access of the photo they just send them to that room without "permission". Well the room only accomodates so many people. So it gets filled up pretty quick and then nobody can get in that room to see it, not even the owner of that room. You can always get a bigger room (more bandwidth), but that costs more money (and it doesn't stop people from hotlinking unless that service is turned off).

Well I was wrong aobut the hotlinking thing. That wasn't what used my bandwidth. I'd completely forgotten about normal visitors. I had like 10 visitors that day, and they used the bandwidth. Cause when I went back to look the next day, the bandwidth was back to 0. So evidentally I had a couple of people looking at somethings at the same time.:p

Actually since filming Troy, he's taken in three total. One while filming Troy down in Mexico. And two while filming KoH in Morocco(sp). But yes, those stories just make you love him all the more.;)
