I just realized I didn't say much about myself so here's a little intro....
I was born and raised in Hawai'i but came to the east coast for college about 12 years ago. I now live in Maryland with my hubbie, my great dane and two cats (yes...it's a veritable farm around here lol ).

I am a full time banker and when that isn't dominating my life:-/ I am a voracious reader. My favorite past time is browsing the local used book stores as I am a bit of a book collector as well.

LOTR has been an important aspect of my life since I was in middle school and was old enough to read my eldest brother's books. He was a huge LOTR fan and thanks to him, I am as well. I held out seeing the PJ movies until TTT extended edition came out on DVD because I was sure, after the Bashki versions, I would be disappointed with the movies. I couldn't be more wrong! I've been a member of a select few LOTR communities and was directed here by CoE. I just love the shear magnitude of WoTR!:hyper:

As for the name...thanks for all the compliments!
Just for the record, Peredhil is the elvish name given to Elrond and his brother Elros. It means Half-elven, in reference to their shared ancestry among Elves and Men. The elven linage has always intrigued me, especially the concept of being half-elven.
