Legolas would Kick Ari's butt. Arigorn is around 80 in LORT, and Legolas is quite a lot older, thus, more practice. I don't think we ever find out exactly how old he is (can someone clarify?) but I estimate him at around 6,000. That's...what...5,080 years more practice. No brainer.

Gimli would wipe the floor with Boromir. Once again, age and practice comes in. Boromir isn't that old (thus, less experience) while Gimli is roughly 200. Plus, Gimli's got size advantage, as well as strength advantage.

Arwen vs. Eowyn: Woohoo! Cat fight! Seriously, though, Eowyn is going down. I don't care HOW much you hated Arwen in the movies, it's the same case as Legolas vs. Aragorn: She has more practice. (not the mention the superior agility) Elves are just better than men.

Aragorn is probably Legolas' biggest challenge, but out of the entire fellowship, Legolas is bound to kick butt. He's got the agility and practice to beat everyone. (Except Gandalf, of course. I have a feeling none of them could even stand up to Gandalf).

haha i know exactly what your talking about with the points! i was given the game by a friend and me and my cousins were determined to figure out how to play. The first time we did it completly wrong but them my cousin read the manual and we figured it out. it was good fun. but in rebutle to your stats, aragorn could do so much more damage than legolas with his sword. and arwen isn't a warrior, she never was and she never will be. and even if she had more practice, eowyn has raw talent. here's an example even if i was thousands of years old and i had all that time to play baseball i would never be able to beat nomar garcia, because he has a natural talent for base ball and i don't. there fore eowyn would house arwen ten ways from sunday

It all depends on where you take them from. If we're talking about Arwen and Eowyn from the books, I agree with you 100%, Arwen wouldn't stand a chance. I don't think you quite understood what I was saying. I never said she intended to fight the nazgul. My point was, standing up to the Nazgul and openly defying them takes incredibly strong physical and mental willpower, and the fact that she carried a sword around with her just kinda gives one the impression that she knows how to use it. 'Gee, I think I'll carry this weapon around. No idea how to use it, or even how to hold it, but I'll carry it around anyway.' Just looking at one Nazgul would strike unconcealable fear into the hearts of most brave warriors, yet Arwen's expression in that scene shows confidence, as if she doesn't even consider them a foe worthy of her time. 'I do not fear them.' If her only chance to defeat them would be to make it across the river first, I think she woul've been pretty afraid. Judging from Arwen's Lineage and upbringing, I'm sure she could've had top-class training in swordfighting. From PJs interpretation of Arwen's character, I think she would've been able to hold her own against Nazgul. (Aragorn did it, whereas he wussed out in the book.)

Openly defying the Nazgul took incredibly strong emotional, psychological, mental willpower, yes, but physical not so much... sure they drain it out of one, but that has nothing to do with how well arwen can fight.

as for my last statement, i meant it in no seriousness. Simply because I like Boromir more than I do Aragorn... I agree with you that in a duel Aragorn would vanquish Boromir.

You're joking, right? Boromir has around fifteen to twenty-five years of experience fighting minions whenever there's a battle between Gondor and Mordor he's involved in. Aragorn has around sixty years of experience being out in the wild, killing minions non-stop, week in, week out. He's a "professional Orc slayer". It's like saying "Who would win in a mathematical contest, an Algebra teacher, and an Advanced Calculus major with a phd.?".

I feel like the only reason why Aragorn would be able to beat Lagolas is because he (Legolas) respects him (Aragorn). If Legolas was angry enough, or somehow lost respect for Aragorn, then he'd most definately squash him into the ground.:)

Gimli is probably the best fighter. Legolas' arrows would just bounce off his helmet. He could do lots of low blows.

overall i think swordsmen have the advantage over those who weild only bows. they cant really compete anyway, theyre both in entirely different arenas. now, a man who can weild a sword AND has pretty darn good aim with a bow kicks overall butt ;) plus aragorn is so much more nimble than gimli, if they fought aragorn would win in seconds. but if he didnt, gimli then would have the advantage of stamina... eh its all in how you look at it.

Well that kind of fits for Legolas to Tar. He uses his bow a majority of the time, but lets not forget his Long-knifes. He's just a deadly with those too.... I think it's just a tough decision in general....;)

Legolas is still the one I want on my side if I was to choose one fighter to be on my side. Gimli may be stronger and Aragorn may be more versatile with weapons but Legolas has the speed and that is important. He could put in a deadly elven-knife attack or a deadly arrow before Gimli or Aragorn can act.

OK.. here's the deal. Since Legolas is an elf, he has speed and the whole immortal deal on his side.. so he could probably do some major butt kicking... but Aragorn is strong... he has a lot of experience and the stubborn and "holier than thou" attitude he has is very intimidating... he could kick butt too. All Merry and Pippin are good for is getting caught, for the most part... but they provide comic relief, so therefore, they're some of my favorites. Frodo is just there to take the ring.. he can't fight... I would be surprised if he can even whistle... but he's my ABSOLUTE favorite (I always go for the underdog). Sam is just there cause he promised Gandalf.. plus Frodo is his best friend. Gandalf is totally awesome!!!!!! Of course, he's always getting in trouble, and being the quizitive wizard he is, he'll always find something to snoop around in and someway to try and save the day... which will more than likely end in a downfall. Boromir died in the first movie and the first chapter of the second book, so that's pretty self-explanatory. Gimli is short (he's a dwarf, what else would he be beides short) but he's got strength!! As long as he doesn't break his or anyone else's axe on a stone platform!! And there are soooo many others that I can't even put here... cause... well.. I don't have time!! Basically, what I'm saying is. Deciding who could kick the most butt would be like trying to figure out what Michael Jackson's original skin color is!!! (Everyone knows, but that's not the point of the joke)... anyways, that's all I've got to say about that.

Gimli scored(if I may be allowed to use that word) 42 and Legolas 41 (I think that's right however the point is that they were only one orc apart), so we can safely say they were equal in skill.

Gandalf the White is a much more powerful being than Gandalf the Grey in my opinion. After the Balrog incident Gandalf seems much better equiped to deal with Saruman.

Actually, the answer to the above question is Legolas. I would not bring Gandalf into this equation as he is an all-powerful wizard and Maia. However, if I were to choose between Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli to have on my side, I would choose Legolas because he can kill the orcs and Uruks from a far distance as well as at a near/short distance.

Another advantage of having Legolas in our team is that with one arrow, he can also kill many orcs/Uruks if he happens to shoot at a siege ladder hook. This will make the ladder fall on many of the orcs/Uruks standing below.

Heh! I am a fan of the elves, that is for sure. In TTT movie, even Aragorn had to ask Legolas to kill off one oncoming Uruk who was leading the charge through the blasted culvert. And Legolas is able to do that because he can aim correctly from a great distance off. Aragorn and Gimli can only kill when they are quite close to the enemy forces.

So now, I hope everyone here can see the great advantage of having archers in the army.

Just watched LOTR TTT man that rocked!!!!!! Legolas had so much screen time and like I notice that Gimli and Legolas are getting more friendly like they are more friends now....you know what i mean??? especially when Gimli was like *in Helms Deep* How many orcs did you kill? i killed two (or however they said it) and Legolas was like I killed 17.....*and when Gimli was killing his third orc and was about to say 3 Legolas was like now 19* but i forgot how they said it but i liked it, it was funny.....and Gimli was counting how many he killed......but i cant believe they killed Haldir.....thats sad.....even thou i didnt really like him but i mean its sad that he died.....and i like it when Legolas said You're Late in Elvish that was so funny!.....and when Gollum was talking to himself....that was funny and also when Legolas said to Gimli should i get you a box *or however he said it but i just know what he is implying....seriously my memory is kinda bad lol* plus Gimli couldnt see over the thing that was infront of him......that was extremely funny he was like Now this is a great spot to put me and he was jumping and saying what is happening out there and Legolas was like do you want me to describe it? hehee.......but after this movie Legolas is still my favorite character its just that i think he is more cuter and aragorn is cuter too but still my favorite is Legolas *i know i know i said that a lot but just wanted to remind you lol*......

I think Legolas killed more orcs than Aragorn and Gimli put together because he got a big score when he shot down one of the siege ladders. He was also shooting arrows while they were retreating while Aragorn and Gimli just ran in.
