I'd love to hear about your LOTR treasures. I'll go first:
Many years ago , ain't gonna say how many, I was introduced to the world of Middle-Earth and fell in love with it. The old love pales in comparison to my current obsession and after seeing the movie I begged my husband to go down to the basement and find some of my LOTR treasures.
My husband eventually went to the black pits of Moria - oops - I mean the basement and here's what LOTR treasures he brought back:
A boxed paperback set of the LOTR trilogy published by Ballantine/Fantas in 1973. Each book was priced at $1.95!
The picture disc edition of the LOTR Soundtrack circa 1978!
It has some cool artwork in the inside cover as well as on the two discs.
My new junk includes LOTR cake-top figures that I haggled for at some bake shop, various action figures, various radio and audio book versions of LOTR.
Soooo - what's in your closet???

and some recenntly aquired trinkets from Universal Interactive. :p

Wow Illuvatar, signed goods from the guys themselves.
Well I've got the DVD,
the soundtrack,
the book (the new copy with the ringwraiths on the front),
my mum's old copy (about 40 years old?),
the hobbit book (only about 9 years old),
a poster of the fellowship from the newspaper ,

Wow.. that's not bad. :o
Now I'm jealous! :mmmm:
I don't have all that much. I've got a paperback edition of the LOTR trilogy (from last year.. it's got the movie-picture on the front), and the LOTR DVD. And the LOTR soundtrack of course. Hmm.. I think that's basically it.
I've got "The Silmarillion" and "The Hobbit" in paperback as well, if that counts. Oh.. and I've got a book called "A Guide to Tolkien" by David Day. But so far, nothing else.

LOL - Now we are all green with envy! Yeah, Illuvatar has good reason to gloat - oops I mean share his good fortune with us. roflmao
I must confess, I did'nt list EVERYTHING LOTR that I own. Nothing autographed though. But I do have the companion guide, and the official movie guide, and some Burger King action toys as well as the new hard cover boxed set of LOTR, AND a single volume complete LOTR, a pin featuring the Lady Galadriel that I begged off a Blockbuster employee. Hmm, I think listed all of the legit and bootleg copies in various forms I own on a different thread!
I have the History of Middle Earth and recently acquired a book entitled, "Tolkein's Ordinary Virtues" by Mark Eddy Smtih.
By the way, any body else out there have the American radio version of LOTR? It doesn't even compare to the BBC one.
I pretty sure I have left out something from my secret stash of stuff. My clients love to come to my office! roflmao

I have ‘A Guide To Tolkien by David Day as well,
I also have *takes a deep breath*
The HarperCollins boxed set hardback edition of The Lord of Rings
A paperback edition of The Hobbit
A CD recording of Tolkien reading the poems and songs of LOTR
The BBC Radio Recordings of The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, plus the music CD’s as well
Another CD of music based on The Lord of the Rings
The Tolkien Diary 2002, illustrated by Ted Nasmith (those pictures are amazing)
Umm, have I forgotten anything?
Oh yes!
A comic strip scene of The Mirror of Galadriel
And a poster of the Fellowship, that is on the wall above my bed.
Oh, and I also have a picture of Legolas with his bow guarding my door. A picture that I printed from the internet.
Oh, and the paperback editions of The Two Towers and The Return of the King.
I think that’s about it.
Ooo no, I’ve just remembered, I also have a computer CD which shows how the Movie hobbiton came to be and also has all the trailers from the first film and comments from the actors.
I’ll shut up now shall I?
*ducks as everybody hurls tomatoes and raw eggs at her head*
It’s not my fault I’m lucky.

LOL - no tomatoes or raw eggs here!
I forgot about my music cd and my calender too.....
oooh oooh and my book, "Art by the Brother's Hildebrandt" that features lots of LOTR art, circa 1980.
I would so love to see your comic strip, but I would most like to acquire a cd with Tolkien's voice reading aloud! OK I am gonna throw that tomato at you now! : )

Let's see...
I have the LotR paper back set, the new ones with the movie covers.
The Hobbit and the Sil, paper back.
I also have the Complete Guide to Middle-earth, the Lost Tales, and some of the Making of Middle-earth books.
Then there is also the LotR Companion and the LotR Movie Guide.
In the toy department I've got...
An action figure of every member of the Fellowship, plus Elrond and the Travling Frodo. I just got Gandalf on eBay, since they don't sell him in the stores any more.
I also have MOST of the Burger King figures (they stoped selling them before I could collect them all :( )
I also have the DVD (of course!) and the sound track on CD with the Frodo cover.
I have the Fellowship poster, plus three of the movie posters that I got free (I gave one to a friend).
But my pride and joy is an exact replica of Sting... "made by the elves, you know..." ;)
Hmm... I think that's all....

If you happen to be missing the cave troll from the Burger King set I would be happy to give you mine as a token of appreciation for your translation help. PM me and I'll send it to you, no sweat.
btw, since you mentioned being a collector of action figures - have you checked out the site by the two 15 year old boys who used their creative talents to make a website where they used the action figures to act out LOTRs? It is too cute.
check it out at www.Foolofatook.com and go to the "Lord of the Rings Action Adventure Story!

I have no physical LOTR treasures (besides the book itself) but eternally, the true treasure is the fact that I had the privilage of reading it, and knowing it, and imagining every footstep...

To possess such a treasure is worth far more than any trinket, poster, or action figure. You are truly blessed.

Thanks a lot, Dernhelm, though I do have the Cave Troll. It was a nice gesture!
I saw something like the action figure thing only it was with Legos. Some guy had built entire sets out of Legos from all the major scenes in the books. He also made the characters. It was pretty amazing! I wish I could remember where I had seen it!
