The White Flame

Over five years ago, an image of a shield with four stones in it suddenly appeared in my head. Over the next few years, I wrote a backstory for that image, one that created worlds, races and even languages. The story grew and grew into a complex plot...but suddenly, stopped. I could get no further. I knew where I wanted the story to go, but had no idea how to get it there. Eventually, the manuscript was pulled out again, the story tightened up and reshaped, and then, finally, inspired by a colleague who had cast me in his own audio play, it was written out into a script, and the ending was finally realised. It was almost as if the story was waiting for me to turn it into a script before it would give up its ending to me.

Five years in the making, and now finally the script is finished, and a cast has been found. I'm currently waiting for the lines to come back in to me so I can start the mixing, but if you want to know just what's going on, and what this is all about, you can find the official site here: http://thewhiteflame.bravehost.com

This audio play isn't just being produced for me, but for all you fantasy (and sci-fi) fans out there. I really want to hear what you guys think of this. Also, I'm going to be producing a FAQ page on that website. If anyone has any questions they think relate to the project, and they think others would be interested in as well, pop them in here. :grin:

Ahh....*ducks head* I'm a mod, I know I shouldn't be double-posting....but it's WAY past the edit limit...

However, I've just finished the first 'trailer' (if you can call it that lol ) for this, and thought you'd might like to see...

And yes, you probably will recognise the music. And yes, it's not the best quality. I apologise for that.

You've got me intrigued ED, nd yes I did recognise the music, but it still sets the mood right enough :grin: I want to hear it when it's all done!

Hehe! Thanks, Nessa! That was the idea, to just give people a small enough glimpse to get them intrigued, but not enough to give anything away....it's a really simple trailer, but I hope it's effective! :grin: Because it's a major project (I'm reckoning it'll be well over two hours - 38 page script) there's no way I can score the entire thing myself - so you'll probably recognise quite a bit of music in the main play itself as well.
