Speaking of which, does it seem to anyone else here that after Gandalf yells, "it's Saruman!!!", he gets on top of the snow and starts yelling that spell? If he could get on top of it why didn't he all along?

Well since this is supposed to be favorite quotes I guess it's time we got back to them..... Sorry guys....:( I personally loved from the book, when there in Moria. Just before raceing to the bridge of Khazad-Dum: 'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!' I wish they would have left it that way in the movie. To me it showed how Legolas was intouch with everything.. Althou in the movie you do see him reacting to it. I just wish that line would have been used....;)

He does a similar gesture when he leaves Rivendell in the SE of FOTR; he touches his hand to his chest then extends his arm out. I know it's not exactly the same, but I'm betting it means the same thing. One's probably when you're gesturing to one person (like when he's with Aragorn) while one's a gesture to a group (like when he leaves Rivendell.) In FOTR, Legolas is not the focus of the new scene, he's off to the side, so it's harder to notice, but I guess I just couldn't pay attention to anything but him.

i think he said " You lie" to the orc, when the orc said that Aragorn is dead..personally, though i have no complaints about extra scenes for Leggy to strut his stuff lol i felt the whole "aragorn falling over the cliff' scene did not really serve any purpose other than to demonstrate his friendship with Leggy and GImli :mmmm:

I so agree, his lines are great! But Orlando also has the ability to communicate through his face. He has this slight smile that i just love (you can see it when he talks to Gimli about the box), then there's that annoyed look (when Gimli offers his ax in FOTR), and then...there's his eyes. They look amazing all the time. They become so intense when he looks off into the distance and announces the uruk hai are taking the hobbits to Isengard, but they become so sad and yet beautiful when he's mourning someone. I just love everything about Legolas:)
