On Monday, June 18, 2007 nine Charleston Firefighters battled their last blaze. This has been written up in the Post and Courier (charleston.net) as the nation's large single loss of firefighters since 9/11. :(
The husband and I are working with a dispatcher and the local departments to create a memorial bumper sticker honoring these nine heros. As soon as we get approval for print I will post details.

I saw a report on this today on the news :( It's so sad what happened to them :(

The stickers are for sale and a portion of the proceeds will go to the families funds. We will mail. This has been commisioned by a 911 dispatcher and will probably be on the news this evening.

Several companies responded to a warehouse fire with no sprinklers. So within 20 minutes the fire got hot enough to collapse the roof. The nine were inside deployed looking for people when the collapse happened. This has been written up as the nation's single firefighter loss sine those in 9/11.

We have added a cicular design and some memorial bead bracelets that my daughters worked on.
