Joseph at Bristol Hippodrome

I went to see Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat on Sunday.
I've known the score since I was eight years old and I love it, so I was very excited to see how it would look.

I enjoyed it very very much. The stage set up and the role of the narrator was just how I imaged it would look. I was a bit suprised at an Elvis lookalike Pharaoh, but it was just perfect for the style of the production, and boy could Elvis sing!!!

Andrew Lloyd-Webber's and Tim Rice's musical tale has been a great success for the venue over the past years and this year introduces a brand new Joseph.

Andrew Derbyshire, one of the runners-up on ITV's Pop Idol and lead performer in Queen's mega-hit musical We Will Rock You, is just 20-years-old and takes over the title role as part of a big revamp of the show, written back in the early 1970s.

In fact the show, which has now gone into the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running touring stage musical of all time, started life as a school play.
