If I were to sit and ponder this questoin I would have to say "Fingolfin" not because he is my namesake but because he withstood the power of Feanor. To withstand his will and his urge to get back the Silmarils (which started everything in the first place) not to mention Fingolfin challenged Morgoth to single combat. I can't think of one elf who would have done that. Plus from his line came many, many, people of importance.. Thoughts?
"Belain na le" ~ "He took his horse Rochallor and sword Ringil, and rode alone to Angband. All enemies fled from him, fearing his anger, and mistaking him in his fury for OromŽ, the Valar patron of hunters.
