Welcome to the props section here at War of the Ring. Many people overlook the importance of props...not only in bringing films to life, but also in helping the actors get a sense of their enviroment and their characters.

We have broken them down into three sections: Costumes, Jewellery and General Items. Each of these runs through the process of designing and making the props. Where possible, we also look at some individual items and compare them with descirptions in the book.

One important area we are not covering in this section is arms and armour. The reason for this is that Orc covers this in great detail in the Armoury.
