That line always makes my cry in the books Sad That's so sad... I'm gonna cry my eyes out, right now *sobs like crazy*

FRODO: I'm not sleeping in the same room as Saruman! Or Gollum! Or Boromir! *Clutches the ring to himself* Strider, don't make me! ARAGORN: Frodo, you ass, Boromir's not even here. He didn't meet the personality criteria. FRODO: And bloody Gollum did? GOLLUM: It's Sméagol, my love!

Yes, it is! She's so vulnerable there... Like we're finally seeing who she really is. Neither Dernhelm nor a warrior who fears neither death nor pain - Just a young girl who's really sad... *starts sobbing again* Btw, what is she holding?

looks like a book, but it could be a memory of someone lost..

Yeah, looks like a book to me too... We'll have to wait and see Smile Did you see the screencaps from the victory celebrations at Edoras? I think it's so cool that she offers the cup to Théoden, who then turns to make a toast for the men that were killed in battle. It really shows us some more in-depth look at the Shieldmaiden-culture and Éowyn's duties as the Princess of Rohan...

~ A song that seemed to come like a pale light behind a grey rain-curtain, and growing stronger to turn the veil all to glass and silver, until at last it was rolled back, and a far green country opened before him under a swift sunrise ~ http://magicdust.atspace.com (check out my website)

I love this scene in the movie... It's just too short Sad But having the song of Arwen as background music made it even more fantastic!

Btw, she's not holding a book but her injured hand. LadyOfGondolin, I agree. This scene was absolutely gorgeous, but sad. It made me cry, and Arwen's song was like made for it.
