they encountered the Rider, he is ahead
of Frodo in the dash for the ferry;
Pippin and Merry are already onboard,
throwing off mooring lines and poling out
 
...and Pippin is right behind...
 
...followed quickly by Sam
 
Sam reaches the safety of the raft,
Frodo still has a ways to go

The Black Rider is gaining on Frodo

who is shouting to his friends:  Go!

 
Frodo shouts to his friends to push off - 'Go!'
 
Sam and Pippin are shouting

Frodo!  Come on Frodo!
(Merry is in behind, poling)

Frodo is almost there...
 
Frodo is getting ready to jump
from the pier onto the ferry

...flying through the air...
 
Frodo takes a run at it
and leaps through the air...

on top of Sam and Pippin

The horse rears up screaming, then
turns to head for the Brandywine Bridge
